Why Choose Track Your Paws

Microchipping is one of the most effective ways to reunite lost or found pets with their owners. However, it is only effective if keepers remember to ensure that their contact details are kept updated. You must make sure your dog is fitted with a microchip by the time it’s eight weeks old; it is illegal if you don’t get your dog microchipped and you can be fined up to £500 if your dog is not microchipped.

Dog Dogs Stolen Each Week

More than 60 dogs are stolen each week in England and Wales. Over the past 3 years this has increased by 24%. 52% of dogs are stolen out of your garden and 19% as a result of a burglary, 16% when out on a walk and 7% whilst tied outside shops and 5% left unattended in vehicles.

Horse Horses Stolen Each Year

10,000 horses stolen in Britain alone each year. And sold through auctions or slaughterhouses. Most horses’ passports are registered in their owners’ names but fail to register on a microchip database.
